Tibetan Associations in North America endorse the boycott
On July 14th, 2002, in Minneapolis, all Tibetan Associations in the USA and Canada passed this resolution:
Chinese manufactured products are flooding markets in the USA and many other countries. Besides other considerations, many of these products are manufactured in prisons and forced labor camps. From a moral perspective alone the use of such products would be most reprehensible. All Tibetans should not only boycott Chinese goods personally, but should undertake various campaigns and projects to obstruct the sale of Chinese products. Tibetans should also undertake to inform and educate the international public about the moral problems of purchasing products made in China.
